Igreja de Santa Cruz | Santa Cruz Church

Edificada nos meados do século XIII, obedece ao tipo de linguagem introduzido no gótico trecentista de Santarém, revelada na estrutura de três naves, divididas em três tramos, sem transepto, sendo a nave central mais alta que as laterais e com uma cobertura em madeira. São de admirar no interior o belo púlpito renascença, esculpido em pedra, o revestimento azulejar com motivos de padrão e um painel com a representação de Cristo. A aparência salientada da nave central ficou comprometida com a construção de uma torre sineira em 1735. Merece ainda destaque o portal lateral de influência barroca.

SANTA CRUZ CHURCH

Built in the XIII mid-century, the church benefited from the introduction of the Gothic in the Village. However, in the XVI and XVII centuries, the church was adapted to the new artistic tastes: welcomed a beautiful Renaissance pulpit carved in stone, the walls received flooring tiling pattern motifs and a small panel depicting the Baptism of Christ, six hundred characteristic. In the XVIII century campaign baroque added her side gate and a tower. Contemporary is the construction of the House of the Brotherhood of the Order of the Blessed Sacrament, in which was placed a valuable tile wainscoting and a dome painted in trompe l'oeil technique.
